Start with the same project
A driveway price is only useful when the proposed work is defined. Record approximate dimensions, whether old pavement must be removed and the finish you want. Describe steep areas, tight access and drainage concerns. These observations help frame a site assessment; they do not replace one.
Separate the major cost drivers
Ask how the quote handles demolition and disposal, excavation, base material, forming, reinforcement where specified, concrete placement, finish and curing. A price for new concrete over a prepared area is not directly comparable with complete replacement. Street-approach work and landscape restoration may be separate.
Compare inclusions and uncertainty
Look for written quantities or boundaries, exclusions and a process for hidden conditions. Confirm taxes, permit responsibility, payment stages and how changes require approval. The lowest total can become difficult to compare if it leaves significant preparation undefined.
Request a project-specific estimate
We do not publish an unsupported per-square-foot promise. Bring the location, parking needs, approximate size and photos if available. Ask for an assessment that explains the proposed construction and what would change the price.
